For the collection

Op-shops are my happy place. My treasured finds are usually clothes, but on my latest trip to Butterflies Hospice I found this camera – a Yashica Minimatic-C which belonged to an A.S Jones from Invercargill c/o NZ Insurance amongst the bits and pieces. There’s a half used film in it also, so developing it could prove exciting! Whether or not it works at all is part of the surprise. While purchasing I also acquired  a nice old lady friend who told me her life story and warned me not to waste money and save for a house instead…
