Last year I ventured out to Chicks Hotel to see Tiny Ruins. Through softly spoken story-like lyrics it was the kind of gig that encouraged you to curl up on the rug near the Chicks fire with a wintery pint or coffee- something of a rarity when it comes to live music, and strikingly beautiful. This time round I had the pleasure of inviting Hollie of Tiny Ruins and Bob Scott (The Clean) round to a&e studio for a little live session as a precursor to their show, again at Chicks.
Having no idea what the sound would be like, Daniel (Blackball), Lee Nicholson and I launched into filming and recording a couple of acoustic tracks. We’re now in process of putting together some sort of final video, but in the meantime here are a couple of photographs from the session…
