An Emerald City with a blanket of lit up gem windows and eight million strangers. I never tire of the New York City skyline. It is as if witnessing it for the first time again and it feels surreal.
It is a place of possibility and creativity, infused with mystery and madness. Twenty-four hour everything that keeps on ticking even while you’re not looking.
I know you’re not meant to stare, let alone sneak photos of strangers on public transport, but the subway fascinates me and I can’t help it. I love that each station has a history told through it’s design and tile work and that everyone has a story and a destination but we’re all just there in the same carriage chugging along in kind of solitary togetherness.
